A special tour of the beloved Victoria Concert Hall
VCH Organ Series is a series of free concerts featuring the magnificent Klais Organ and special guest performers. Victoria Concert Hall has a magnificent Klais Organ installed in the concert hall. This pipe organ was made by Orgelbau Klais, a German company specializing in designing, building and restoring pipe organs. Dr. Margaret Chen helped to build this current organ back in 1987.
Dr. Margaret Chen is considered the Grande Dame of Singapore's organ scene. She is passionate about the instrument and a firm believer in making music part of people's lives. She holds a doctoral degree from Indiana University.
The concert duration is approximately 1 hour. Doors open half an hour before the concert. Seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Please do note there is no admission for children below 5 years old including infants-in-arms.
Join a 30-minute to 40-minute tour of the Victoria Concert Hall Tours to discover the hall's fascinating history and architecture of this magnificent building. It is free for all on first-come-first-serve basis. The docents who conduct the tour are generally keen to share their passion and knowledge with the participants.
