Whether it is a family outing, enjoying a picnic under the trees, or taking a romantic stroll- whatever it is you plan to do, be sure to check out all these beautiful free Gardens and Parks below:

1. John Oldham Park
When: All year round: 24/7
Where: 150 Mounts Bay Rd, Perth
Details: This beautiful Park is set in lush surrounds with stunning city views. The Park is divided into two regions: John Oldham Park and David Carr Memorial Park. The regions feature walk & cycle paths, waterfall, lakes, plenty of seating, playground, BBQs, toilets, exercise station and plenty more.

2. Russell Square
When: All year round
Where: Cnr Shenton & James Streets, Northbridge
Details: Russell Square is filled with history and interesting facts and being originally designed as modelled on the square fenced gardens built in London in the mid-19th century, Russell Square is certainly worth a visit with plenty of water features, thirty original sculptures pants & flowers and more to be admired…

3. Kings Park
When: All year round
Where: Fraser Ave, Perth
Details: With over 400 hectares, there is no shortage of things to do and experience at this park. With 250 species of plants and around 100 native animals to spot out, you can easily spend a whole day here! There are also a range of activities and events held at Kings Park, for all information you can visit the information centre near the Park.

4. Stirling Gardens
When: All year round
Where: Cnr Barrack Street & St. Georges Terrace, Perth
Details: These spectacular gardens are the oldest gardens in the city. History, Kangaroo Sculptures, and water features are just a few interesting features of these gardens...

5. Supreme Court Gardens
When: All year round
Where: Cnr Barrack St & Riverside Drive, Perth
Details: These gardens are part of an important open space area in the CBD of Perth. The gardens are semi enclosed by mature trees and gardens. Many events are also held at the Gardens. There are plenty of seating, drinking fountains and public toilets.

6. Langley Park
When: All year round
Where: Riverside Drive, Perth
Details: This Park runs along the Riverside Drive next to Swan River and was created by reclaiming land from the adjacent Swan River between 1921 and 1935, to provide open space near the city. History aside, this Park is the perfect place to sit back and relax in the city.

7. Synergy Parkland
When: All year round
Where: Kings Park, Perth
Details: This is the first environmental playground and community area of its kind in Australia! It features a 75,- long elevated walkway, two-tiered island fort, large-scale replicas of local dinosaurs, timber boardwalk and interactive water misting forest. The playground includes challenging area for children where they can explore, discover, play and simply enjoy the outdoors.

8. Harold Boas Gardens
When: All year round: 24/7
Where: Cnr Wellington & Havelock Streets, West Perth
Details: These gardens feature several lakes and a waterfall, dense shrubberies with large grassed areas, children's playground, and plenty more. There are 24 hour public toilets and drinking water. It is very popular for wedding photography!
