After a successful season in late October 2011, Fed Square Gaming is back this Summer. Running on selected days from January 3rd to 14th, Melbourne gamers can kick back and show off their skills on the Federation Square Big Screen with a range of independent game titles, including the award winning Australian game Antichamber, the celebrated adventure game Hohokum and the fun action game Nidhogg.
Given that the Federation Square Big Screen will broadcast the Australian Open from January 16th, there are two tennis themed gaming events also featured in the Free Fed Square Gaming Summer program; the Melbourne Vs Perth – Big Screen Tennis Championship and the Fed Square Tennis Competition.
The Melbourne Vs Perth – Big Screen Tennis Championship will take place on January 7th from 2pm and will see Melburnians take on Perth gamers in a live Virtua Tennis 4 match. And in the lead up to the Australian Open, Melburnians can play a round-robin tournament of Virtua Tennis 4 on the Fed Square Big Screen from 12pm on January 14th.
Fed Square Gaming is a completely free event and gamers of all ages are welcome.
