Summer in Melbourne continues with free festivals throughout February.

1. St Kilda Festival
Running from Saturday 31st January through to Sunday 8th February, if there's only 1 day you can attend, then don't miss Festival Sunday on February 8th. Australian musicians will play over nine music stages, and the streets will be bustling with performance artists, dance classes, community activities, buskers and international food stalls. Festival Sunday hosts the largest free music festival in Australia.2. Chinese New YearCelebrate the Year of the Goat throughout February at various locations around Melbourne. These energetic and colourful celebrations include free traditional performances of Lion Dances, martial arts, acrobatics, and drumming. A feast of Asian foods at many stalls and restaurants, are available for purchase. In melbourne city, the celebrations will be held on Sunday February 22nd from 10am-10pm, in Russell Street, Chinatown.

3. SummerSalt Outdoor Arts Festival
Snuff Puppets have built the largest human puppet in the world! The interactive installation and roaming puppet performance, Everybody, will be on at SummerSalt Festival Hub on Dodds Street, South Melbourne, from February 13th -15th. Head down with the entire family and interact with the huge puppets. This is a free, family friendly, outdoor event.

4. White Night
Love art? Then save the date, February 21st, for a continuous 12 hours of music, food, film, art and illumination. Melbourne city will be divided into nine event precincts, each with a specific theme. Walk around and discover illuminated buildings and parks; watch artists perform their talents; visit theatres and galleries, and eat and drink at food stalls, restaurants and bars; all in one White Night you won't forget.

5. Sticky Fingers
Head to Queen Victoria Market for another fun Sunday Foodie Festival. Street food traders will have to get creative to serve their food on a stick at the Sticky Fingers Pop-Up Festival! Don't just think satay chicken skewers, but of delights including homemade icy poles, chorizo skewers with lime salt and chilli, skewered grilled calamari tentacles, mini donuts coated in sweet toppings, healthy fresh fruit, and a lot more. All food and drinks for purchase, while you enjoy free live music, and entertainment for the kids. Sundays from January 18th - April 12th, 9am-4pm.

Also, remember, February is the last month to enjoy Melbourne's favourite Twilight Markets this year, so head outdoors and enjoy the summer!
