Enjoy the great outdoors without losing your cool this February.

February is the last month of Summer, so it's definitely time to make the most of the weather and get out and about. As per usual, Melbourne has many great free events in and around the city to keep you entertained. Here's a smattering:

Summer Salsa Classes @ Fed Square
As Fran says in Strictly Ballroom, 'A life lived in fear is a life half lived'. Embrace your inner dancer when you learn to shimmy and shake it with Free Salsa Classes at Fed Square. Professional dance instructors will help get you moving in minutes.

When: Every Tuesday, 15 January - 26 March, 5.30pm - 7pm

St Pauls Crt
St. Pauls Court can be found just next to the Visitor Centre at Fed Square.

Suzuki Night Market @ Queen Vic Market
Pop along to the Suzuki Night Market and enjoy the free music and entertainment. If you have the cash there is also delicious food and some fun items on sale.

When: Wednesday nights until the end of February, 5pm - 10pm.

St. Kilda Festival
A friendly, carefree vibe infiltrates the St. Kilda Festival. There will be more than five music stages with free live performances. Most of the performances occur on February the 10th. The best way to get to the festival is to catch public transport as parking can be a nightmare, for more information about transport options click here.

Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Snake will occur on February the 10th this year. Chinatown and Little Bourke Street will be a hive of activity with dragon dances, street stalls and an abundance of fire crackers.

Pop Up Playground's Fresh Air Festival @ Fed Square
Come and play like never before at Pop Up Playground's Fresh Air Festival. There will be an array of the latest local and international free games and activities.

When: Friday 8 February, 6pm - 9pm
Saturday 9 February, 1pm - 4pm 6pm - 9pm
Sunday 10 February, 1pm - 4pm 6pm - 9pm

Fed Square
It's playtime at Fed Square with Pop Up Playground's Fresh Air Festival.

You can catch the Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle to get to many of these events for free. The bus stops at Fed Square, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Market.
