The last moth of the calendar year will be filled with an array of fun and free events. Celebrate summer with family and friends with these free events.

French Xmas Market & Open Day
On 7 December 2013, the annual French Xmas Market and Open Day will commence with a bang. Alliance Française de Melbourne will be the hospitable host to a weekend long French market where you can acquire delightful French Christmas gifts for near and dear ones. A host of free events will regale all visitors while a grand raffle which will give you the opportunity to win elusive prizes.

Christmas Celebrations at Federation Square
Federation Square has in store a month long Christmas celebrations. Commencing on 1 December 2013, the Spirit of the Square event will feature a huge public art installation of more than 100 Christmas trees, a Festive Foodie market, movie screenings, big screen gaming and so on. An Orphan's Christmas will be held for lonely hearts on the Christmas Day.

City of Melbourne Christmas Festival
The annual City Of Melbourne Christmas Festival commenced on 29 November 2013 and will finish on 2 January 2014. Melbourne City Square will be hub of all the celebrations. A nightly light and sound show will woo Melburnians with astounding projections. Further, visitors will be entertained with a wide array of stunning decorations and a host of daily entertainment planned to spread the festive fun and joy. Santa will be making a special appearance on every day of the festival.

Gingerbread Village by Epicure
The Gingerbread Village by Epicure will be a gingerbread wonderland of the best kind. The Gingerbread Village will incorporate most of Melbourne's spectacular landmarks such as Luna Park, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne Town Hall as well as the inclusion of surprise additions. Highly recommended, this village will drop your jaw with the ostentatious display of fantastic skill and detail that went into creating this village. Entry is absolutely free but a gold coin donation is appreciated. All funds will go towards supporting the Make - A - Wish foundation.
