Spring in to these free events
Launceston will host a range of premium free events and festivals in Spring. These events include the arts, community, sport and entertainment for families, residents, and tourists. The Junction Arts Festival, Ride Launceston, and the Apex Launceston Christmas Parade, are all great ways for you to spend more time with the family and get involved with your community.

Junction Arts Festival

This annual arts festival covers a broad range of interactive and contemporary live performances, shows, exhibitions and shows. Over 50 free events will be held by national and international artists who invite audiences to become participants and collaborators. A main performance space, bar and cafe also form a hub for attendees and artists to meet and mingle. Art installations and performances occur around the CBD in unexpected places and add to the buzz created around Launceston during the festival.

The festival is held from the 4th to the 8th of September, and the locations and events can be confirmed by contacting 6631 1309.

RIDE Launceston

This is a free community cycle event to encourage cycling throughout the town, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle. Entertainment and giveaways for the whole family occur across the event. It is recommended that attendees bring their own water and sunscreen, in addition to their bike, helmet, and riding gear.

The route is still being finalised, but further information can be obtained before the September 2013 event by contacting 6323 3000 or

Apex Launceston Christmas Parade

Join the festivities as local community clubs and businesses decorate their floats and create a magical procession that travels through the centre of Launceston.

This event occurs on the 30th of November 2013. Further details of the event will be released at the beginning of Spring through local publications and radio stations.
