If you're between the ages of 12 and 23 and have always wanted to try out Dragon Boat Racing, you're in luck. There's a free Dragon Boat session for Kids and Youth at the Community Hub - The Dock, 912 Collins St, Docklands on Saturday 25 November 2017 from 12pm to 2pm.
The Rapids Dragon boat Club will be hosting their monthly open training session in Melbourne and it's open to all paddlers; those new to the sport, and existing teammates. You can RSVP by email (email@example.com) or on the Facebook Event page.
The 'new paddlers' session will focus on introducing the basics of the sport, discussing the opportunities available through dragon boating in Victoria and talking all things paddling. For the existing paddlers, it's an opportunity to build technique and a chance to bring friends along to introduce to the sport.
The Melbourne Rapids Dragon Boat Club is a U24 dragon boat team dedicated to increasing junior participation in the sport. The Rapids train together in Melbourne once or twice a month on weekends and compete in various regattas during the season. It's certainly a good way to keep fit, enjoy a team sport and make new friends with the same interest.
