Did you ever imagine that there may be dinosaurs at The Ginger Factory? Yes, we have the Gruffalo - the jury is still out on what kind of animal he may be - who loves The Ginger Factory so much, that he has 'virtually' moved in … but how totally roar-some to think that there may be actual fossil bones to discover as well.



The Ginger Factory is inviting all children to come along on certain dates in January (see below for dates) to join in on a local dig and fossick for fossils, where anything is certainly fossil-ble. Become a real-life palaeontologist and dig for fossils in The Ginger Factory's sand pit to see what you can unearth. Then create your very own fossil to bury for the next group to discover. To fossick for fossils, keen palaeontologists simply line up and dig, it's as easy as that!



Times and Dates for Dino Dig

Besides all the fabulous Christmas events happening at The Ginger Factory during the month of December, there are a few brand new spaces for visitors to look out for.



There's The Potting Shed - a gardener's paradise! Filled with a diverse variety of plants and flowers to purchase, including the Sunshine Coast's best selection of ginger plants and iconic heliconias, The Potting Shed is the go-to location for keen gardeners.

Spend some time browsing the unique poly tunnel nursery and select your own exotic plants to take home.



The Ginger Factory has officially opened its new space for little adventurers to play, climb and explore and is aptly named 'Little Explorers'. Filled with soft playground equipment and a ball pit, Little Explorers is a fun soft play space that will light up every little face with laughter and happiness. Grab a coffee and relax in the parents' area while your children play to their heart's content.

The Ginger Factory is committed to providing a safe and sanitary environment for all littlies. All pieces of play equipment are cleaned and sanitised regularly using a non-toxic, eco-friendly disinfectant, with ingredients that are safe for your child.



Why not make it a day out at The Ginger Factory? Moreton, the historic train who is more than one hundred years old, spends his days taking visitors on a tour of The Ginger Factory grounds and loves nothing more than sharing his time on each and every relaxed tour.

Everyone in the family loves Overboard, the boat ride with music and animated puppetry featuring more than two hundred handmade moving puppets. Join the gingerbread man on his adventure around the world.
