Think outside the square for school holiday fun
Libraries and community centres offer plenty of school holiday activities but there are some more unusual things on offer from local businesses. Try these for something different.

Bunnings offers DIY workshops and other activities for children. Availability varies depending on the store location. Use the Bunnings website to find your local store then click the What's On link.

My local store has DIY workshops that include Make a Terracotta Pot Person, Grow your Own Jack and the Beanstalk, Make an Egg Carton Caterpillar, Sculpture Fun and several others. They're also having Game Days where children can enjoy face painting, putt-putt golf, bowling and colouring-in pages.

Check the website for dates, times and booking information. All activities are free.

During the school holidays the Ollie Kids Club has free workshops at Officeworks stores. Once again the choice of activities varies from store to store.
