All of us have a self-benefiting reason to stay active and healthy throughout the year. It can be trying in the world's most liveable city where top dining and entertainment choices abound. The pounds also increase and fitness and Vitamin D levels wane especially over the winter season when the chills keep many of us indoors.
As a counter balance, there are many healthy lifestyle options available such as fitness classes in the city, Tai Chi sessions in Docklands, meditation in Federation Square, Zumba at Boyd Community Hub and walks around Southbank. Even if you can't get into the city to enjoy these health and fitness activities, there are several FREE options around the Melbourne suburbs that offer a mix of outdoor and indoor programs. Here is a quick overview of what's available to keep you on your feet.
