[b]Comics** - they have been popular for so long and are over such varied subjects. I used to save them and ended up with hundreds of them - I loved those old style ones!

There will be a free comic book day on Saturday 4th May 2019. This will be the biggest day on the comic book calendar this year!

This is your invitation to be part of the biggest celebration of comics and the comic book community in this huge worldwide event. FCBD, for those who have not yet been to one of these events, is such a great day and just as good as it sounds!



The idea is that you come into the shop and you get to pick up some FREE comics! There will be a huge selection of titles and you'll have the chance to pick yourself a handful of new comic reads for FREE! Yes, totally and completely FREE! No catches, no hidden fees and no purchase is necessary. All that is needed is for you to have an interest in checking out the world of comics and if this is you then this event is also for you.

It will be held on Saturday 4th May 2019 at The All Star Comics Melbourne, 53 Queen Street, Melbourne.

Some of the things you can expect at this event are family only which is the first hour of trading between 9.00 am and 10.00 am to help families beat the rush along with the children, there will be children's only free comic show bags.

There will be a FREE comic book All Star Costume Contest. For this, you will be invited to don a costume and head into the store to help share the comic joy on the streets of Melbourne. You could perhaps win an All Star gift voucher with both an adult and a children's division.

All Star comics free comic book day artist, Alley - again this year is another wonderful showcase of some of finest artistic talent in the Melbourne comic scene both established and up and coming. This extremely generous line up of talented local artists will be drawing FREE sketches for you. FREE COMICS!

Every year, the organisers are surprised at the lines of people that join in for this event. However, they always hope to make the next one even bigger and better for everyone attending. So make sure you note the date and check back for more details of the event. Invite whoever you wish, share this event with as many people as you can and then come on over for a true celebration of all things great about comics with this year's FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

The organisers are All Star Comic Books and they are Melbourne's newest comic book shop. The owners are Mitch and Troy and each has over 10 years of experience working in the comic book retail field. Together, their aim is to make All Star Comics a unique and friendly shopping experience in the heart of Melbourne's central business district.
