The Clothing Exchange clothes swapping events are held in Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne.

"The Clothing Exchange is a professional swapping service that promotes the simple notion of swapping instead of shopping for a better wardrobe and better world."

The Clothing Exchange, in conjunction with Kangan Institute, is offering a free clothes swapping event on Monday 10th December, 2012

5:30pm: garment check-in / refreshments served

6pm: swapping begins

7:30pm: swapping concludes

Rules; items should be:

clean, folded or pressed of good quality with a long potential lifespan

likely to be valued by others - i.e. ask yourself if would you be happy to give or receive these items as a gift

free of faults or with minor faults that are easy to repair (e.g. a missing button)

After checking in, you take your bag of garments to a table where staff sort through your things, and give you buttons in return for each item.

Tip: Keep your buttons safe - they are fairly small and can be easily lost
