Five Free December Events in Melbourne

Image from City of Melbourne website

Melbourne is in the grip of Christmas fever this December. It's impossible to escape the dulcet tones of Christmas carols, the plethora of pop-up Christmas markets and the frenzy of free Christmas festivities. So, not surprisingly, our free events this month have a Christmassy theme. It's easy to be jolly when your entertainment, unlike your Christmas shopping, isn't costing you a cent.

Melbourne Town Hall Christmas Projections

While most of Melbourne is lit up like... well, a Christmas tree, Melbourne Town Hall will be putting on a different face nightly throughout December. The talented people at Electric Canvas will be "celebrating Christmas in a playful and transformative way" through colourful light projections onto the Town Hall facade. It will make a change from all those Christmas lights, if nothing else.
