It's time to gather the family for Children's Week which is being celebrated from the 20th until the 28th of October. Here are five great events in and around Melbourne.

Family Fun Day @ Collingwood Children's Farm
Sunday 21st of October

There will be free entry to Collingwood Children's Farm between 10am - 4pm. Children will have the opportunity to meet and feed the animals. From 10am until 2.30pm there will be additional activities to enjoy including face painting, damper making, story telling, pony rides and tractor rides. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch.


An International Arts Adventure @ NGV
Wednesday 24th of October 10am - 3pm

Enjoy a program packed with dance, music and theatre. Kids activities will centre on the theme of international artwork from Asia, Oceania and Europe. The day will culminate in children participating to help create a dragon puppet. Entry is free although bookings are required. Contact Mark Lowrey on 9495 6422.
Romp & Stomp Fun Day for Children @ Melbourne Museum
Wednesday 24th of October 10am - 3pm

Early childhood specialists will be presenting a range of children's activities for kids aged between 0 and 5. Dancing and music will be a major part of the day. Children and concession card holders have free entry. Adults are $10.
Diamond Valley Steam Train Rides and BBQ @ Eltham Lower Park
Wednesday the 24th of October 11am - 3pm

Between 11am and 3pm children and parents will have the opportunity to enjoy the Diamond Valley Miniature Steam Train Rides for free. There will also be a storytelling tent, play activities, guided nature walks and a free sausage sizzle.


Goof Booth @ ArtPlay, Birrarung Marr
Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of October 12pm - 4pm

Create a family portrait in the ridiculously wonderful Goof Booth, a photo booth run by clowns. You'll get to take home a sepia family photo of the fun and excitement.
