Kung Fu Panda 2, Star Wars and rocket ships
With school holidays coming around again Campbelltown Council has planned a range of free activities for kids to be held at various branch libraries in the area. Most of the events are aimed at primary school children, aside from the Mobile Game Theatre which is targeted at middle school and high school aged young people. Here's what's on offer:

Kung Fu Panda 2 Movie Screening

The Kung Fu Panda movies are family favourites - and with the appearance of the latest installment in cinemas recently, this is a perfect opportunity to rewatch some of the older films.

There will be a free screening of Kung Fu Panda 2 at Glenquarie Library, Macquarie Fields. In this second movie in the series, Po continues to protect his village along with his heroic friends but soon comes up against a villain who he has a history with. This event is especially for children aged 5 to 12 years.

Mobile Game Theatre

A specially designed gaming theatre using the latest console games. Suitable for ages 12 to 18.

Find Out Where The Wild Things Are

Where The Wild Things Are' is a classic children's picture book that has been entertaining kids for decades. This event focuses on craft-making and games that celebrate this long-loved book. This event is especially for children aged 5 to 12 years.

PJ Storytime



A storytime session for kids aged 3 to 8 years old. Children are encouraged to bring teddy bears and to come in their pyjamas.

First session:

Star Wars Mania



With the release of the most recent movie, Star Wars has never been more popular with adults, or children. This event aimed towards little Star Wars fans will involve creating a light sabre as well as character masks. Targeted towards children aged 5 to 12 years old.

Mystery Box Time

This is a craft challenge activity for children aged 5 to 12 years.

Cool, Calm and Coloured

This is a fun and simple event where kids will be able to spend the time learning to relax by colouring in attractive patterns. Intended for children aged 5 to 12 years.

Glenquarie Blast Off!



A special craft activity for children aged 5 to 12 years. Participants get the opportunity to build a spacecraft, rocket ship or alien UFO.
