Nothing says Australia more than an Australian Day Celebration. Below are some of the top free Australia Day celebrations events:
1. A Day at the Beach, Cronulla
This year the Sutherland Shire Council is holding 'Day at the Beach Australia Day' event. There will be live entertainment and activities and the day ends with a grand fireworks finale.
There is also a free Shire Shuttle service which will operate on Australia Day between 11:15pm – 3:40am – check the website for more details on pick- ups and more information on this service.

2. Oz Day at the Gong, Wollongong
The event is for all ages, with plenty of things to do and activities to be enjoyed, including getting active by joining the Australia's largest swim and run – (Australia Day Aquathon & Charity Walk) or just simply enjoying the free train ride. The day will end with a spectacular fireworks display. Check out the program on the website for all the activities and things to do.
There is a free 'Park and Ride' where you can leave your car at JJ Kelly Park and Vikings Oval and catch the free bus operating every 15minutes from 12-11pm
or you can leave your car at Dalton Park or the Innovation Campus and catch the Gong Shuttle Bus. Buses run every 10 minutes from 6am - 11pm.

3. Share The Sizzle, Darling Harbour
This year entertainment includes clown shows, magic shows, live music, Football Festival and much more. The event is complete with fireworks.

4. Sydney Olympic Park Australia Day Celebrations
It is a fun-filled day which will be packed with food stalls, live entertainment, rides, an Aboriginal dance ceremony and workshops, kids entertainment, sheep shearing and many more fun things to do as well as fireworks to complete the fun day.

5. Australia Day at The Entrance
The day is filled with many activities to do such as ice-cream competition, wood chopping, sheep shearing, plenty of live entertainment and of course finished off with fireworks.
