Sweet soy beef, pork ribs in Peking sauce, boulgogi steak and salt and pepper calamari... We all know that Asian food is tasty and nutritious, but the combination of spices, the precise preparation and the unique cooking styles make it notoriously tricky to master for beginners. If you've ever enjoyed a great meal in one of Chinatowns many Asian restaurants and wished that you could replicate it at home, your wish is about to come true.

Thanks to Chinatown's talented chefs, Brisbane-ites can attend free Asian cooking classes in Chinatown. Experienced Asian chefs will demonstrate how to cook their signature meals from beginning to end. Yes, that's right, for free. But it gets better. If you don't feel like cooking afterwards, you can enjoy a meal at a selection of Asian restaurants* and receive 15% off the bill. So not only do you receive free lessons from qualified chefs, you can also enjoy a cheap meal. Gives new meaning to Cheap Tuesdays, doesn't it?

So if you'd like to prepare your own gourmet Asian banquet, or would just like to learn a new skill, head down to Chinatown Mall every Tuesday from 6.00pm.
