The newly opened Henderson Gallery has a philosophy of creating an inclusive environment to display artworks be people who would not normally have even considered art. They have regularly changing exhibitions featuring a range of artists from a variety of backgrounds. The gallery also has a lovely cafe and several learning spaces.
About the teachers Robert Henderson and Wayne Weaver
Robert Henderson Wiradjuri is a Wiradyuri Koori and started with a background in community services. Since taking up art 10 years ago he has used art as an empowering process to help the people that he works with to express themselves and develop. As a great community builder he creates diverse communities of those interested in art.
The introductory afternoon will involve a lot of interaction as well as insights into being an artist. The two artists, Robert Henderson and Wayne Weaver will also discuss their own motivations, inspirations and techniques.

Other than being over the age of 16, there is no restriction on who can attend the class.It is suitable for absolute beginners who have no experience in art.
About the art classes
The art classes are an example of the philosophy behind the Henderson gallery. We all have something to say and art is an opportunity to express our views, opinions and feelings. If you attend the introductory class you will have the opportunity to sign up for the full course. The courses will be tailored around the needs and interests of the group.
