It's not about touching your toes, although that would help
Are you starting to feel a bit fragile about that New Years Resolution to get healthier in 2017?

Never fear - Redland City Council, in conjunction with Divine Jewel Yoga, will be encouraging your goals for better health by running a FREE 10 week yoga program.

This initiative will commence on Friday, the 13th January, running each Friday thereafter until the 17th March. The program will commence at 7:30am finishing at 8:15am.

Are you a bit nervous trying Yoga for the first time? It's early eastern origins can make Yoga seem a little intimidating, though as Jigar Gor once said, " Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down".

There are so many health benefits associated with yoga. Some of these are:
improves flexibility
builds muscle strength
betters bone health
helps you focus
boosts the immune system

In this particular instance, I would also add a healthy dose of Vitamin D as the program will be run outdoors in Bloomfield Park, situated in the heart of Cleveland, on Bloomfield Street.

At that time of the morning parking along Bloomfield Street should not be an issue and the Woolworths Car Park is only a two minute walk away.

Please make sure to take along your own mat, towel and water. Bookings are not required.

Remember also that "Yoga adds years to your Life, and Life to your years". ( Alan Finger)
