Delicious Italian cuisine in stylish surroundings
As we wandered the Sydney CBD admiring the city lights, the four of us decided to try Fratelli Fresh Parlamento on Macquarie Street for dinner.

As we walked down the stairs, the interior of this restaurant opened up into a stylish space with leather bench seating, plush carpet and ornate brickwork. The maitre d' greeted us as we arrived and gestured to a corner table. The interior of the main dining room had subdued lighting with an extraordinary spoked ceiling light, a fascinating feature in this room. The other dining areas were segmented with appealing brick archways and these rooms also contained interesting drop down lighting.

We began our dinner with Dough Balls which were very tasty bread rolls surrounding a pot of creamy garlic butter.

My husband and son both ordered the Lasagne al Forno which was piping hot and flavoursome.

My daughter ordered the Tagliatelle Meatballs. The dish arrived with three generous sized meatballs in a delicious tomato passata.

I ordered the tasty Lamb Ragu with rosemary and penne pasta. I anticipated the serving to be spicy hot with the addition of chilli to the ragu, but it was a delectable meal.

The ambience of the restaurant and the professional and friendly staff make this a dining experience for those who are in the city looking for a wonderful Italian lunch or dinner.
