Who said there is no such thing as a free lunch? With cooking all the rage now (did you see those juniors whip up that Adriano Zumbo choux pastry delight on Masterchef?) why not get in on some of the kitchen action. It is a great way to explore new techniques, flavours and ideas in the kitchen. Then you can impress your mates by entertaining them!
Head to Fratelli Fresh for a free cooking class. They are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4pm-5pm at Danks St, Waterloo (did I mention they were free?). As you can imagine, bookings are an absolute must and recipes change monthly. With only ten people per class you can only book for 3 people (which I think is super generous).
Got a sweet tooth? For a more sugary, slightly more expensive option (it's hard not to be more expensive than free though, right?), head to The Essential Ingredient in Balmain. At this place you can do Introduction to Cake Decoration, Cup Cake Artistry, Cup Cake Flowers, Bows Frills and Lace Cupcakes... and plenty more.
