Reality television and audition shows like The Voice and Australia's Got Talent has made us realise that talent can be found in every corner of Australia and so many more people have musical and theatrical ability and flair to succeed in life.

The Maryborough City Progress Association in partnership with the Maryborough State High School is hosting The . This event is now open for contestants to send in their video auditions to [email protected]. Video auditions are followed by daytime heats and night-time finals to be held on 17th October 2020. Talent from all fields are encouraged to enter.



The event consists of four contestant heats and four finalist's heats. Auditions close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd September with the heat semi-finals to be announced on 1st October 2020. Contestant heats will be held from 10.30am to 4.30pm and the final heats on the evening of 17th October from 6.00pm to 10.00pm. This event will be live-streamed for everyone at home.

Sponsors include Live Your Best Life with Michaela, Regenerate with Kylie , Solargain and Alowishus Delicious Maryborough . Cash prizes for first, second and third places are $1,000.00, $500.00 and $250.00, respectively.

The Fraser Coast is part of the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland. The Fraser Coast Council incorporates the cities of Maryborough and Hervey Bay and includes Fraser Island, Woocoo and Tiaro. Maryborough is famous for its heritage buildings and birthplace of Mary Poppins' author, P.L. Travers.
