The Frankston Uniting Church's May Fete is a warm, old-fashioned community fair that always has plenty to offer in the way of entertainment and bargains. This year, the May Fete is being held on Saturday 7th May 2016 from 8.30am to 1pm at the Uniting Church, 16 High Street, Frankston.

Proceeds from the fete support the church's community activities including Operation Larder, Voices of Frankston, Local Community Breakfast & Kids Hope, as well as international community work in India and Chaplaincy.

The May Fete will feature all the usual goodies you'd expect from any self-respecting fair including a huge book sale, plants, handicrafts and cards, trash and treasure and the Frankston Beanie Challenge enterprise. You may like to get on board this initiative, too. If you enjoy knitting, crochet, felting or sewing, why not help this worth cause by making a beanie or two. From baby beanies and footy colours to teenage slouch and adult hats, the donation of a hat for someone else in need can go a long way. An exhibition of current hats, as well as hat sales, will be at the May Fete. This year, the Ladies Evening Group are adding scarves to the mix, with awards for the best creations. The May Fete will also have live music and entertainment and onsite café. Stop for a while and enjoy Devonshire tea or a cup of coffee with a cake or slice. There will even be a sausage sizzle for lunch.

There is street parking around the church or it is an easy walk from the Frankston city centre around the oval.
