Frankston Beach – perhaps not as touristy as some of our other beaches, but just as popular even in off peak season, due to all it offers in one location.
With long stretches of sand and beautiful views to enjoy, one forgets that the bustling township of Frankston is only metres away behind you. There's always a queue of smiling kids eager to buy a snack, drink or ice cream at the beach kiosk, before they head back into the water.
The well located boat ramps are a boating enthusiast's delight, with ample parking for boats and cars alike (don't forget change for the parking metres) and a beautiful park where you can have a picnic, or enjoy the shade of the trees.
If you've worked up a hunger, just metres off the beach is Sofia's restaurant, where you can dine in or order take away pizza to eat on the beach as you watch the sun go down.
