I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

If you are a group of adults looking for something to do whilst holidaying in Port Macquarie, book a tour with Frankie's Travel. The personable Monique Muusers, is the 28 year old owner who has been operating Frankie's Travel since August 2016. As a Port Macquarie resident, she has a great relationship with 13 local businesses along with a few stories and hidden gems to share.

Our recent annual cousins reunion included a $75 private tour with Frankie's Travel. Monique collected the eleven of us at our accommodation at 9am and we made our way to Vickers Fudge. There was a large range of handmade confectionary and plenty of purchases ensued. Next stop was the beautiful Bago Vineyards, where we were treated to a cheese plate with wine tasting and had enough time to enjoy a coffee whilst meeting some friendly natives.

As we had some time up our sleeve, our fearless leader took us to meet the fascinating Rod Page at the quirky Crystalline Pottery. He showed us around his studio and workshop and demonstrated his craft at the potters wheel.

Long Point Vineyard was the venue for our three course BBQ lunch and we enjoyed our wine tasting in the cellar gallery with Guy whilst Monique prepared our lunch. There was more than enough delicious food and the included glass of wine or ginger beer was a nice touch.

We finished the day at Black Duck Brewery, where we were invited to sample a beer paddle each. Al, the brewer, gave us an explanation of the craft brewing process and we also had a tour around the microbrewery.

After a scenic coastal drive, 'Bluey the bus' was happy to unload the merry travellers and purchases at the hotel. Monique has tapped into a new market in Port Macquarie and it is a win for all concerned. We had a fabulous, relaxing day, everyone we met was friendly and generous with their time. There was no pressure to buy any goods but we did.

Check out the calendar or tours can be tailored to your own specifications. Contact Monique to discuss your requirements as she loves having happy customers.

A tour with Frankie's Travel is very enjoyable and value packed. You will be sure to meet some amazing people and learn something of interest about this beautiful part of NSW..
