The name inspires thoughts of the classic TV show 'Happy Days' and as you sit enjoying a cool beverage as the sun goes down over Canberra you think the name apt indeed.
The residents in the far North of Canberra have a new local eatery to enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner. With large TV screens on the inside tuned in to FOX SPORTS, live music from 4pm on Sunday afternoons and large benches adorning the alfresco area, Frankies is a welcome addition to this side of town.
Last night my husband and I popped over to Frankies for dinner. We were greeted at the counter by a friendly waitress who took our orders and set up a tab for us so we could pay for everything at the end of the night. Now, my husband would like me to tell you that Hoegaarden is available on tap here and is served in proper Hoegaarden glasses as it should be; he was very excited about this discovery. For dinner he ordered the Frankies Rump Steak Burger and I had the Garlic Prawn Risotto. Whilst the prices are slightly more expensive than you would expect from your neighbourhood restaurant, the food was delicious and we were more than happy to pay for such a pleasant night out.
