Frankie J's Pizza and Pasta

Hang out with the stars at
. Pizza and pasta aren't the only stars on the menu. Frankie J's serve delicious gelato. We arrived for early lunch and saw the freezer of 18 different gelato choices. Learning that the pizza oven was just heating up for the day, we decided 'backwards lunch' was the order of the day.
While waiting for our pizza, we relaxed at the outside tables with delicious Choc Mint and Maple Pecan gelati.
We had definitely earned our cool treat after a long hike around the base of
Mt Tibrogargan.
Since we were in the Glasshouse Mountains, the
House Special seemed a logical choice. The
pizzas came in four sizes, all very reasonably priced. A small Margherita would give you change from a ten. The 'high-end' priced pizza menu (still only $25 for a family size) offered seven different
gourmet pizza choices, ranging from 'Reef and Beef' to 'Fire-Eaters'. There is even an Apple Crumble pizza!
The
ten flavours of pasta sauce can be combined with spaghetti, fettuccini, penne, tortellini or gnocchi. Salads, wraps, rolls,
interesting sides and hot chips are other meal choices. There is a good range of cold drinks and coffee and hot chocolate. BYO is available with no corkage fee.
The cool colour change jukebox plays hits from the 60's to the 90's, while some more stars - Marilyn, Audrey, John, Paul, George and Ringo - smile down us.
I loved the vibrant red and black colour scheme. Our food was delicious. This little café is off the beaten track but well worth a visit.
