A Windy History
As part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, comedian Frank Hampster'sFart Lab show takes the audience on a laughter-filled journey through the history of "windy" humour. Presenting himself in a somewhat individual professorial style complete with labcoat, Frank's light-hearted and audience-engaging approach to the down to earth subject matter is very funny. It is, after all, something that everyone can relate to.

If you're wondering whether farts are so funny you would make a whole show about them, then just look a little further. There are books galore on the subject (mostly humorous but some quite serious), a legion of kids in love with fart humour, not to mention all those YouTube lists of the best movie moments featuring farts. It's a popular focus of humour for all ages, and as Frank's show illustrates, it's been good for giggles since the beginning of time.
Fart Lab is showing at the Clean Comedy Hub, The Arrow on Swanston, 488 Swanston Street, Carlton, at 8.30pm, Wednesday through Sunday from 25th March until Sunday 19th April. Suitable for audiences 5 years plus, entry includes a fun and very appropriate free gift (no, it's not baked beans). Tickets are available online and at the door.
