Arguably Australia's best crooner Frank Bennett is almost a National Treasure. We don't see much of him these days as he travels the world doing weddings in Italy and a few cruises but mainly he does private corporate events, so this is your chance to catch him in the flesh. Dressed like he just stepped out of the Rat Pack in an impeccable black suit and frilly white shirt with hat, doing covers of the best of Sinatra and Bennett classics, New York New York and Come Fly With Me with a few modern tunes like Creep thrown in for good measure.
He pulls out his sax while pianist David McAvoy does his best to keep up as Frank stops mid song to banter with the audience, cracking risque jokes then picking up where he left off. It takes a consummate performer to pull that off without losing the thread or flow of the song. Be prepared to swoon, be crooned while you knock down a few apple martini's to Frank Bennett's magnetic performance.
You have one more Thursday to swing to the groovy sounds of Frank Bennett - Australia's best crooner. The gig may well be extended due to popular demand, but why take the risk? Check him out at the Chandelier Bar SkyCity Casino Thursday September 1st.
