Let yourself be spellbound - two Melbourne shows only

Recently back from a songwriting trip to Nashville with a suitcase full of new tunes, Frances will be performing her latest show 'Practical Magic' together with her all-star band on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September.

"Frances has a wonderful feeling for jazz and blues standards but what makes her a real stand-out are her original songs and her unique style." James Morrison.

"Australia's rising star of jazz, blues and ballads." Fine Music 102.5 FM

Frances' music is jazz-oriented but has a broad adult contemporary appeal. Her shows are a mix of her unique take on timeless classics as well as her own original swing, blues and beautiful ballads.

In the past year, Frances completed a successful eight-show East Coast tour as well as performing at major festivals including Wangaratta and Sydney International Womens' Jazz Festivals. She also supported the legendary Dionne Warwick and Grammy Award winner Gregory Porter during their recent tours.

Frances has played to capacity audiences at all of Australia's popular jazz venues including The Basement in Sydney, The Paris Cat and Birds Basement in Melbourne, Doo-Bop Jazz Club in Brisbane and she recently headlined at the JZ Club in Shanghai. She is currently recording her second studio album with acclaimed Melbourne producer and musical director Chong Lim AM.

As well as Frances on vocals and piano, the line up for the shows includes:

Harriett Allcroft (backing vocals)

Sam Anning (double bass)

Doug De Vries (guitar)

Darryn Farrugia (drums)

Lachlan Davidson (tenor saxophone)
