Sydney songstress Frances Madden is performing at The Jazzlab for one show only on Friday 6th December as part of the exciting Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival. Don't miss this special opportunity to see one of Australia's classiest and most talented performers in an intimate venue.
Frances is one of Australia's most popular young singers and piano players and has been described as 'one to watch' by ABC Jazz's Mal Stanley and 'a rising star of jazz and blues' by Sydney's Fine Music 102.5 FM. When she performs her own original swing and beautiful ballads, they merge seamlessly with the timeless classics she covers.
Frances has performed at major festivals including Wangaratta Jazz, Sydney International Women's Jazz, Manly Jazz, Hobart Festival of Voices, Devonport Jazz and Tamworth Country Music. She plays to capacity audiences at Australia's best venues for jazz-influenced music including The Basement and Foundry616 in Sydney, Birds Basement and the Paris Cat in Melbourne, and the Doo-Bop Jazz Club in Brisbane.
