Frances Madden returns to Foundry616 this winter

See one of Australia's leading young singer-songwriters with her all-star band at Sydney's finest jazz club.

Foundry616 is delighted to welcome back one of Australia's classiest and most talented performers.

"Australia's rising star of jazz, blues and ballads." Fine Music 102.5FM

"Frances has a wonderful feeling for jazz and blues standards but what makes her a real stand-out are her original songs and her unique style." James Morrison.

"A very talented young vocalist and pianist. One to watch and I look forward to her upcoming album." Mal Stanley, ABC Jazz

If you haven't been lucky enough to catch her yet, Frances' music is jazz-oriented but original and with a broad popular appeal. Her shows are a mix of her own enchanting swing, ballads and blues as well as her unique take on some timeless classics.

In the past year or two, Frances completed a successful eight-show East Coast tour, as well as performing at festivals including Wangaratta Jazz, Sydney International Women's Jazz, Manly Jazz, Hobart Festival of Voices and Devonport Jazz. She has played to capacity audiences at Australia's most popular jazz venues including The Basement in Sydney, Birds Basement and the Paris Cat in Melbourne, Doo-Bop Jazz Club in Brisbane and she recently headlined at the JZ Club in Shanghai. Frances has supported Dionne Warwick, Gregory Porter and other international artists here in Australia.

Frances captivates her audiences with a combination of her genuinely warm stage presence together with a voice and style that are uniquely her own. In addition to Frances on piano and vocals, the seven-piece line-up for the shows includes some of Australia's finest jazz musicians. The show will sneak-preview tracks from Frances' recently completed and soon to be released album produced by Melbourne music legend Chong Lim AM.

General Admission and Dinner & Show tickets are available. Book for dinner or drinks to guarantee a table. Show commences at 8.30pm sharp.
