Framed Espressobar, Ruthven St, Toowoomba
There are some famous and fantastic cafes in Toowoomba, there are many mediocre ones, and there are cafes like Framed: fantastic, but known to only a few.
And unless you're paying close attention while driving to Harvey Norman or Rebel Sport, you wouldn't know that this shopping complex has a framing shop (Downs Framing Studio) hiding this excellent cafe.
Comfy leather lounges, recycled timber tables, soft lighting and large windows make this a pleasant place to linger over your coffee.

The coffees themselves are worth lingering over, made with Sunshine Coast beans from Slide Coffee Roasters. They sell take-home packs of beans to brew your own too.
Apart from coffee, the sticky chai latte is a tempting option (brewed on real tea leaves and spices).

There are also a range of other teas and a limited selection of cold drinks. The cabinet offers various sweet treats like macaroons, pastries, and banana bread.

One big plus at Framed that you can't rely on in your chain-store cafes is the authentically warm and friendly service.
If there's a downside to being a small business, and a more intimate venue, it's that with 2 staff on (when we were there), backlogs can develop.

After your respite from the real world, you can wander a few metres along to the RSPCA op shop for an eco-conscious bargain, or say hello to the kittens in-store. Or carry on shopping at the bigger stores in the complex (Spotlight, Rebel Sport, Anaconda, Amart etc.)

Framed Espressobar is located inside Downs Framing Studio in the home centre on Ruthven St, Kearney Springs, Toowoomba
