Foxbar Falls Campground
Foxbar Falls is a new campground in Queensland's Granite Belt near Stanthorpe, less than a three hour drive from Brisbane.
Foxbar Falls offers a number of camping options including lakeside, bushland, powered and unpowered campsites, campsites that allow dogs, and campsites with no dogs allowed.
Foxbar Falls also offers single travellers a discount of $8 per night. Although Foxbar Falls is fairly remote, roads to the property are sealed and the unsealed roads on the property are well maintained.
Until recently, the Granite Belt was suffering from a significant drought. Even in these conditions, the campsites were stunning with an abundance of birds and wildlife.
More recently, however, the drought has broken filling each of the dams on the property.
Activities at Foxbar Falls include swimming in the dams, kayaking or canoeing with your own watercraft, fishing, bushwalking, and bird and wildlife spotting and photography. The campground's hot showers provide the perfect end to days full of outdoor activities.
Fire pits are provided at each campsite, and firewood is sold for $8 per 20Kg bag, $20 for 3 20kg bags or BYO is welcome.
Whether you are seeking a relaxing weekend in nature, or a series of mini-adventures, Foxbar Falls offers an excellent, friendly, and well thought out camping experience for the whole family.
Regular updates on campsite conditions and weather are posted on their Facebook page here
