Ever since I was 7-years-old, I knew I wanted to be a writer and made my own Mr Men books. Today, I am a freelance writer and have the privilege to review bands, theatre and comedy across Melbourne, not to mention interview some incredible artists.
Event:
Bobby Fox will leave you wanting more
On Mother's Day eve, Bobby Fox graced the audience with his hit show Four Seasons in One Night at The Palms at Crown. Not only can the man sing, but he knows how to entertain the audience between songs with interesting anecdotes and humour. If Fox ever tires of singing, he has a career in comedy.

After a brief introduction the show suddenly stopped for a medical emergency. When Fox announced "medical emergency", I thought he was jokingly referring to an overzealous fan but soon realised what was going on and paramedics soon arrived. Respectfully the band left the stage and returned once the gentleman concerned had been seen to. Fox dealt with the situation with great humility adding to his charm.

The charming Bobby Fox

When Fox was cast in Jersey boys, he was hand-picked by Frankie Valli himself to play the starring role of 'Frankie' in the Australian production. Since then, the award-winning star with extraordinary vocals has performed, all over the country to sold-out venues and in front of many celebrities including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Tiger Woods and Frankie Valli.

The set list included all of The Four Seasons' greatest hits: Sherry, Rag Doll, Big Girls Don't Cry, Walk Like A Man, Let's Hang On, Can't Take My Eyes Off You and many more.

Bobby Fox perfectly embodies Frankie Valli's voice and his falsetto will leave you awestruck. With incredible stage presence, Fox continued to entertain the audience by recounting how he came to be cast in Jersey Boys and the inner struggle he went through when it was time to move on from the successful show. The incredible band and back-up singers added to the allure of the show and I'm certain the audience felt like they were much loved. Fox is generous with his time and treated the audience to a video of his mother, given that it was Mother's Day the next day. "I give you two hours and that clip steals the show." Fox said jokingly as the audience cheered post video.

I never had the opportunity to see Jersey Boys but can clearly see why Fox won such critical acclaim for his role. He is a born performer and multi-talented. The show on Mother's Day eve was memorable and like many other daughters in the crowd, I'm glad I got to share it with my mum.
