Tourists and locals get together over a free beer
Everyone loves a Kombi but this one will be even more popular as it is giving out free beer.
With Oktoberfest looming large you can get a sneak peek or rather free tastings of the best craft brews from across Australia, including Melbourne's own Mountain Goat Beer
Four Points (the hotel brand behind Four Points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands) is celebrating its love of beer and Oktoberfest with a craft beer journey across Australia and New Zealand.
There is a kombi van kitted out with beer kegs and taps touring the two countries. The kombi will pop up at Fed Square next week on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th September, between 4-8pm each day.
With Fed Square also being a drawcard for tourists the idea of the van is to bring tourists and locals together over a beer.
The kombi which started in Perth will only be in Melbourne for two nights before making its way to Sydney then Auckland. Guests who attend the event will also have the opportunity to meet local brewers, take and share photos for a social media competition to win a trip to Auckland, and more. Details here.
To enter, share the 'puniest' or most creative post on Facebook or featuring the kombi keg and detailing why you should win a trip to Auckland. Prize will include accommodation at Four Points by Sheraton Auckland, return flights from Australia transfers and tickets to a major sports event. Terms and conditions apply. The post must tag Four Points and use the hashtag #FourPointsRoadTrip.
But while all this happens over two days festivities will continue until the end of October at Four Points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands, where kombi visitors will be able to enjoy four wings for just $1 with any beer purchased.
