, is a fun, intriguing and free night of comedy and drama. The event features improvised performances based on notes, found by Laura.
The notes range from the mundane like shopping lists, to romantic love notes, to bizarre cryptic messages. Some of the most interesting notes were featured in an exhibition 'Found By Laura' earlier this year
and are appearing again until the 29th July at 107 The Projects Redfern.
The notes have been collected over twelve years from multiple cities and this one-off special improv event is showcasing what has intrigued Laura from the very first note found; the stories of the people who wrote the notes.

The improv night is an opportunity to experience what may have occurred, as the note was written; turning one-dimensional messages or lists into rich stories full of intrigue and realism.
These moments, written in haste, haphazardly, quickly discarded; captured a feeling, an argument, a breakup, a meal, a reminder of something, to someone. All of these moments together create the ultimate reality show.

If you haven't seen the exhibition, it's definitely worth checking out. I found the exhibition fascinating because I love the idea of serendipity, the way all these random notes somehow found their way into Laura's path.
Don't be surprised if, after visiting the exhibition or seeing the performance, you find yourself scanning the pavement for lost notes. I found my first note just recently whilst on a trip down to Melbourne.

Be sure to allow time to peruse the 'Found By Laura' exhibition before the improv night to get an idea of how the notes were found and how they relate to each other.
