FREE Service for Students in Hardship at Formal Time
I have always been one to recycle, swap with friends and donate unwanted items, clothing etc to charitable organisations who can help others.
Formally Yours Logan is a community program assisting Year 12 Students in financial hardship to find suitable attire for formals, celebrations and even job interviews. The service is FREE of charge, yet totally worthwhile.
Although today's economic environment has seen an increase in the needs of our children, I can remember a time in my youth seeing fellow students come to school in tattered hand-me-down clothes and shoes.
Formally Yours Logan collects used and new formal items to re-gift to students in these situations. They encourage students to come in, browse the stock, find a dress or suit that fits and then be on their way with smiles, knowing that they will feel special on their formal occasions. The boys can also use their suits for job interviews.
Working from a Crestmead home outlet, Formally Yours Logan is happy to take groups of students if these are organised through their schools, or individual students with a parent or carer present. Hours are flexible and students do not need to go to school in the Logan region.
If you would need a formal outfit and cannot afford one yourself, please contact Formally Yours Logan on the Facebook page or by phone/text on 0413 376 613. If anyone reading this article has formal outfits they would like to re-gift, donations would be greatly appreciated at any time throughout the year.
As Formally Yours Logan says, "Kindness is Free, so let's keep this service full of kindness and giving to others".
