Adelaide's best food trucks in one spot
Adelaide's Squares have become a bit more interesting around lunch time thanks to the growing number of Adelaide food trucks. Hindmarsh Square and Victoria Square are hubs of activity as multiple food trucks set up shop and feed hungry office workers. Now you can get set for one of the biggest lunches, thanks to the Fork on the Road Food Truck Festival.

The inspiration for the festival came from similar events in the US like the TX Food Truck Fest, Truckeroo Festival, and the Off the Grid Street Food Markets. Food trucks of all varieties come together for a fun and festive day of tasty food.

Fork on the Road is Adelaide's answer, and has come to life thanks to support from the Adelaide City Council's Splash Adelaide Campaign. The first Fork on the Road event will be held on the 30th of November from 11am-3pm, the perfect time for a tasty lunch at Victoria Square.

The most important part of any food festival is simply who's cooking. There are currently 18 food trucks set to appear at the first event.

The more well known names include Burger Theory, La Cantina Co, Raw Thirst, Chimichurri Grill, but the festival also sees Taco Cat, Phat Buddha Rolls, The Sausage King, and ChurrOZ appearing among other trucks.

It's also not only about the four-wheeled food vehicles, Veggie Velo and Smooth Revolutions will both have their bikes around on the day.

It's safe to say that from this selection you're likely to find something to tempt you.

So, 18 food trucks, how can you fit it all in? The best bit is you don't have to try and stuff them all in on the same day. Currently there are two festival dates lined up, but with more hopefully announced soon for January, February, and March; making the most of good weather and hungry stomachs.

Here are the details, with more to be added soon:

Fork on the Road November 30th

Serving Lunch 11-3pm

Fork on the Road December 21st
