Chance your luck, run amuck with a food truck
Adelaide's favourite food trucks are gathering again for a series of gastro-enhancing events this summer. Fork on the Road, the organising body on behalf of all the food trucks, has arranged several venues across Adelaide for the upcoming season including the traditional favourites of Whitmore Square and Victoria Square.
The Fork on the Road Food Truck Fiestas usually commence around midday and cater for the lunch and early evening crowds, or alternatively commence in the later afternoon with a longer session in to one of Adelaide's balmy summer evenings. And in the usual Fork fashion, it is not just food that is available at the Fiestas but rather a series of surprise activities to keep everyone entertained during the afternoon and evenings.
Fork on the Road also adopts a theme for each event with specialised themes around Movies (Fork at the Movies), Christmas (Forkmas), the Tour Down Under (Fork Down Under) and the Adelaide Festival (Fork Festival). Each food truck does their best to incorporate some of the themes in to the dishes thus ensuring a good variety and choice of dishes over the summer and activities arranged are also usually in accordance with the themes.
With food options that suit the whole family, Fork on the Road is one event not to be missed. Admission is free, and normal food prices apply at each of the respective food trucks with different offerings available at each different event.
