Need a break during the school holidays?
Fork Around the World is back at Elder Park for 2018 and will be a welcome relief halfway through the school holidays!
The park will come alive with tastings from around the globe on Sunday 15th April from 12pm to 10pm.
Fork continues to grow each and every year, with many seeking out the wide array of culinary delights from all corners of the city. When Fork is held at Elder Park, along the gorgeous banks of the River Torrens, with the CBD as the stunning backdrop to the park, it's always a popular event.
Adelaide's autumn weather so far has been good to us and it looks to continue over this event, so fingers crossed it will make for a great day out.
If you are a usual Fork visitor, all your usual favourite food trucks will be cooking to get your taste buds tingling, plus others to take you on a round the world experience. Local craft beers, wines and spirits will also be available, along with loads of children's entertainment and DJ's knocking out some tunes, creating a great atmosphere within the park.
Why not make a day of it and take a leisurely trip on the Popeye Boat along the River Torrens, or grab some food and enjoy being captain on your own BBQ Buoy whilst seeing the event from a unique angle. The paddle boats also provide a great way to work off some of those extra calories about to be, or already consumed. If you fancy a walk, take a stroll along all or part of the picturesque River Torrens Linear Park walk. Or if you fancy something a bit different, book an Adelaide Riverbank Segway Tour for a unique experience with Segway Sensation.
If you fancy making a really big day of it and catch the new production from Andrew Lloyd Webber of The Wizard of Oz just behind the park at the Festival Theatre.
However you decide to spend your day, enjoy the chilled out atmosphere Fork events offer, whilst the kids are entertained and you slip away into another culinary world.
