Forget Me Not Cafe

My female relatives accompanied me for High Tea at Forget Me Not. The café can be found on Honour Avenue, just down from the Regal Twin cinemas. It is known to be a popular spot after the movies have finished.
I booked a table with more than one week's notice and reconfirmed numbers a few days before the birthday celebration.
We all ordered the standard high tea with one gluten-free option. The generous lunch was presented on a three tier stand. Everyone received a selection of ribbon sandwiches (turkey and cranberry, egg and lettuce), smoked salmon on rounds, mini quiches and sausage rolls. For sweets, there was scones or pavlova and fresh berries, and a selection of small cakes (carrot, chocolate, and caramel).
You can order a pot of tea or cup of coffee to go with your High Tea. The cafe serves Byron Bay Tea Company tea and Vivo coffee. Needless to say there is a huge range of different types of teas served, so you are sure to find something you like.
I ordered a bounty shake, which is basically chocolate on coconut milk. It tastes just like its namesake and would appeal to people with a sweet tooth.
The café has a simple modern décor and an in-house florist. The café is open every day except Mondays and caters for morning tea, lunch, light meals, afternoon tea and high tea.
You can order off the menu, where you'll find a selection of open grills, gourmet and classic sandwiches, burgers, quiche and lasagne. The specials were written on a blackboard; on the day we went they were club sandwiches and pancakes. The classic Devonshire tea with scones and jam is a firm favourite with locals.
Forget Me Not is a great way to catch up with relatives or friends. It's not overly girly (like some high tea places) so don't forget to invite the men in your life.
