There's nowhere you'd rather be with the upcoming Footscray Primary School fete on 25 November 2017 from 11am to 5pm at 100 Geelong Rd, Footscray. This is a family day out that won't cost an arm and a leg, with free admission and games and activities starting from $2.
There are no expensive rides, just classic carnival games like Hook A Duck, the Chocolate Wheel, Tin Can Alley, Nerf Target Shooting, Stand A Bottle, Donuts on a String and everyone's favourite, Throw a Sponge at the Teacher - wet of course! This is a vintage style fete with over 20 classic activities that never went out of fashion.
Like all fetes, there'll be trash and treasure stalls, plants and books for sale, toys and clothing and limited edition art and photographs from local artists. Be sure to load up your reusable bags to grab a bargain from the baked goods and the aforementioned stalls. There'll be crazy stylists and face painters for your makeover pleasure, or you can participate in Bulldogs Handball, trugo and jumping castle.
The ambient sounds of local DJ's will be playing while you enjoy classic fete food and cool drinks from the bar till 5pm, or you can rock out to live musical acts. You'll get a chance to upskill by taking a workshop on drumming, meditation, science play and sports games, or try drop-in drawing with cartoonist Oslo Davis, science play with Dr Loz, drumming and more. Sack races, egg and spoon and a kid's disco just round it off to perfection for a fun family day out!
