Mooving and Grooving at the Station
These days Footscray is getting some interesting eateries and it's not just confined to the main shopping strip of Footscray. If you come out of the station and walk 5 minutes down the tree lined Bunbury Street you will find yourself at the green door of the Footscray Milking Station.

It's popular with the locals and serves a range of sandwiches including its popular pulled pork panini with specials each day. They can cater to diverse dietary requirements and breakfast is a must.

The sunlight filters through large windows onto the tree lined street and inside the café is friendly and bustling.

There is a good mix of couple tables and longer tables to sit down. There's also an outdoor communal table for the whole family, even the dog, and the service is quick and helpful. Inside jump up on one of the stools or lean against the bar and have a leisurely read of the paper while they get your coffee ready. It gets busy so grab your table quickly.
