Event:
Come and see footprints Ecofestival
You're invited to council's annual Ecofestival presented in partnership with the Green Living Centre. The Green Living Centre is a sustainability initiative.

It started in Newtown in 2003 and has been going on with the local community to live more sustainably since then. The Newtown shopfront closed on December 2017, but the Green Living Centre team now appears up all over the Inner West.

They run workshops and projects to inspire and support the local community to make smaller their environmental impact. The Green Living Centre's experienced staff works with local people and organisations to help with sustainable living.

Some of the tips that are used include worm farming, composting, energy and water efficiency, recycling, natural cleaning, eco-renovation and more.

The event will be run on Sunday 25th August 2019 from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. It will be on at White's Creek Valley Park, Piper St, Annandale.

Whites Creek Valley Park is a green wonderland and this year's event will include roving entertainment, workshops and activities for the whole family. The event will also showcase the product and information stalls, a variety of food and local and sustainable produce.

This year's event will feature a talk series focusing on actions we can take to deal with the climate emergency. See the workshop schedule below and look out for details of the talks and other activities.

Come and hear from the people who know-how you can be part of the change at their workshops and talks program. There will also be plenty for the children to do, free bike valet, skateboarding workshops and magical enterprises to be had at Whites Creek Valley Park.
