Do you have your own bar, restaurant or catering business? Are you keeping abreast of industry news and trends?
The Foodservice Australia Tradeshow is back this year, at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne. It is a three-day trade show, from Sunday 31 May to Tuesday, 2 June 2015, focused entirely on the hospitality and catering industry, a chance for industry professionals to be inspired by new ideas and techniques, discover new products and suppliers, and network with their fellow tradespeople.
If you are over 16, and work in the restaurant, catering, or baking sectors, you don't want to miss out on this event.
."It is the only event focused on our industry and an incredibly valuable use of your time. In just a few hours you can find dozens of new ideas, products and suppliers," John Hart, Restaurant & Catering Australia, said on Australian Food News.
This year's lineup boasts over 180 exhibitors participating in special events and workshops throughout the three days. These are all designed to help people in the industry keep up with the ever-expanding, ever-changing competition, improve their menus, and boost their bottom line. The suppliers on the day range from big names like Unilever Food Solutions, to small, regional producers throughout Australia.
Check out some of the special events that will be happening:
Australia's Best Pie Competition
Cafe School
Chef of the Year
Gluten Free World
Regional Producers Pavillion
Restaurant & Bar Theatre
Not only will you get to liaise with other members of the industry, you'll also get to witness Australia's best professional chefs in action at the Chef of the Year competition; sit in on business seminars at the Restaurant & Bar Theatre; and perfect your technical skills at the Cafe School. Everything you need to know to build a better business will be right there at the trade show.
Please note: This is an industry-only event. You must be working in the hospitality and catering industry to attend — that is, if you work in a cafe, restaurant, club, hotel, licensed venue, or commerical kitchen. Entry is $20.
