Below is the list of food & wine festivals across Hobart & Tasmania to explore and enjoy:
1. Taste of the Huon When: 8-9 March 2015: 8th: 10am-5:30pm & 9th: 10am-4:30pm
Where: Ranelagh, 30 minutes scenic drive south of Hobart Cost: Tickets: $ 9pp & children under 16 free. Details: This festival celebrates fine food, wine, entertainment, arts & crafts from the Huon & Channel region. There is an extensive programme of events to be enjoyed throughout the festival. 2. Tastings at the Top When: 15-17 May 2015 Where: Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, 4038 Cradle Mountain Rd, Cradle Mountain Cost: Prices start from $1598 per couple Details: This two day festival celebrates the finer things in life. Feast on gourmet delights with the country's best food and wine experiences. The package tickets include 2 nights accommodation, full Lodge breakfast, Lunch on Saturday, Dinner on Friday & Saturday, welcome drinks, matched wines as part of the Tastings program, and entertainment. 3. The Tasmanian Red Wine Weekend
When: 23-24 May 2015: 12pm-5pm
Where: Princes Wharf 1, Castray Esplanade (Franklin Wharf), Hobart
Cost: General Admission: $25pp
Details: Adults only event (18 only). Tasmania comes together to showcase their superb range of reds from a variety of vintages for you to try. There will be an opportunity to meet, greet and chat with the heart of the Tasmanian wine industry. 4. Chocolate Winterfest
When: 9 August 2015
Where: Gilbert St, Latrobe

Details: Chocolate lovers you do not want to miss this event! Indulge at the festival that celebrates all things chocolate. With a programme that consists of eating chocolate, moulding, decorating, drinking this magical delight, you will certainly experience a sensory overload. 5. Harvest Launceston
When: 19 December 2015: 8:30am-12:30pm
Where: Cimitiere St Car Park, Launceston (opposite Albert Hall)
Details: This is a farmer's market event that showcases the best of Tasmanian food, beer, wine. Sample wines and delights ranging from Pinot Noir, organic cheeses, sourdough bread and plenty more.
6. Taste of Tasmania
When: 28 December 2015- 3 January 2016
Where: Princes Wharf No. 1 Shed, Sullivans Cove, Hobart
Cost: Free entry
Details: This is a celebration of Tasmanian food, produce, arts, culture and sporting activities. The festival is all about sampling the best of Tasmanian produce, with a mix of interesting cultural food experiences.
