The Food Truck Parks continue their special events through August, keeping it fresh and ensuring every taste is catered for. Here's the run down of what's on.
Rio Olympics Weekend
Pull out your finest green & gold accessories, along with your Aussie flags, and come celebrate the opening of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games with a block party at the Food Truck Park in Preston on the weekend of 5th to 7th August 2016. Watch all the action live on the big screen and participate in the games and competitions for your chance to win food truck vouchers right across the weekend.
Vegetarian and Vegan Weekend
The most successful event staged at Food Truck Park at Preston last June is making a very special reappearance again on the weekend of 12th to 14th August. Back by popular demand, the Vegetarian and Vegan Weekend is on again, even bigger and better than before. Along with the best meat-free street food you can find, there will be a market showcasing vegan and cruelty free designer goods.
Asian Street Food Weekend
The Asian Street Food Festival is a winning combination of specialty designer dishes, some pretty nifty decorations and all your favourite Asian flavours. On the weekend of 19th to 21st August, the Asian Street Food festival at Preston is the place to be.
As always, diners can quench their thirst at the fully licensed Barry's Bar offering a great selection of craft beer, wine, cider and more.
Harvest Food Truck Festival
With Spring upon the doorstep, the Harvest Food Truck Festival greets the new season with a selection of country-style food and an organic produce market. The weekend of 26th to 28th August is dedicated to Daffodil Day, offering raffle tickets to raise money in support of the Cancer Council.
The Food Truck Park in Preston is located at 518 High Street, Preston. Entry is free and you are welcome to stay and enjoy the street block party atmosphere for as long as you like. Operating hours are Friday 5pm – 10pm, Saturday 12noon to 10pm and Sunday 12noon to 9pm
The Food Truck Park located at the Village Coburg Drive-in can be found at 155 Newlands Road, Coburg.
