We really live in the lucky state at the moment and what better way to celebrate spring than with tasty food in some of Perth's most beautiful parks. That's right – no cooking and no dishes to worry about, and if you plan your weekend cleverly, you can hop from event to event!

Run by Big Kid Events, the Food Truck Fiestas will be taking place across the city in the coming months. Help support local small businesses and have a night of fun at your local park in Wembley, City Beach, Lake Monger and Floreat. Read on for all the dates and details.

Catering for special dietary requirements
At each of the Food Truck Fiesta events, the organisers ensure there are a wide range of cuisines including some who offer special dietary options for vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, halal, dairy-free and gluten-free and fussy-kid. I just made that last one up, but as long as one truck has chips, you should be fine!



Floreat Food Truck Fiesta
Where: Alderbury Reserve, Floreat (near skate park)
When: Saturdays fortnightly from 2pm to 6pm
Dates: 3 October, 14 November, 28 November, 12 December, 9 January, 23 January, 6 February, 20 February, 6 March, 20 March, 3 April and 17 April

Lake Monger Munchies
Where: Lake Monger
When: Sundays from 10am to 2pm
Dates: every Sunday from 11 October 2020 to 18 April, 2021
Details: healthy-ish food trucks, have fun on the shared exercise equipment, take the dog for a walk around the lake or visit the kids playground

Hendo Food Truck Fiesta
Where: Henderson Park, Salvado Road, Wembley
When: Fortnightly Fridays 5pm to 8pm
Dates: 16 October, 6 November, 20 November, 4 December, 18 December, 1 January, 15 January, 12 February, 26 February, 12 March, 26 March, 9 April, 23 April

Where: City Beach Oval, Fred Burton Way
When: Sundays fortnightly from 2pm to 6pm

Sunshine Markets
Where: Perry Lakes, Floreat
When: 1st Sunday of the month from 11am to 4pm
Dates: 4 October, 8 November, 6 December, 3 January, 7 February, 7 March and 4 April
Details: unique market stalls, yummy street food stalls, family fun zone and live entertainment

One-off Food Truck events
There will also be heaps of one-off events across the northern and western suburbs from Glengarry to Craigie to Hillary to Alkimos to Woodvale.
