News that Melbourne's Biggest Food Truck will take place on Wednesday 2 – Sunday 6 May has been out for a while now. With over 40 trucks, this is to be the biggest food truck festival Melbourne has ever seen
Food trucks from north, south, east and west will converge on the CBD (Birrarung Marr) in order to create this humungous festival for Melbourne's hungry hordes.
You can expect delights from Biggie Smalls (yes, offspring of the CBD Middle Eastern fine-dining restaurant Maha), Real O.G Burgers (American street food), Greek Street Food, Loaded Gourmet Hotdogs, Nem N' Nem, The Real Jerk Food Truck (authentic and exotic Caribbean), Those Guys Food (think philly cheese steak, nacho grande, Texas chili cheese fries), and Ron's Handburger Food Truck (serving double stackers).
Then there is Smokin Barry's (slow-cooked barbeque), The Greek Trojan Yiros (Food of the Gods), Senor Churro (caramel filled churros to die for), The Art of Fried Chicken, Bites on Wheels (great Polish food), Yo India, The Rib Crib (ribs and chips combos) and Euro Kebabs and Grill.
And that is just some of the great line-up.
So you'll have plenty of chances to wrap your chops around some outstanding new tastes.
But this event isn't just about the food. There'll be local Melbourne art and family entertainment. Great street food deserves the best street performers, so you'll find acoustic heavyweights Grim Fawkner, Amber, Dear Matilda and Honeyboy Des to name a few.
Not only will people be there feasting but with some great music, they'll soon be up dancing as well!
